TSN is currently riding a euphoric high. Yes, we know the NHL is back on. You can stop giving it wall to wall coverage. There ARE OTHER sports. Even while the lockout was on TSN managed to devote at least one hour a day to the lockout, which just goes to show how much of TSN's bottom line relies on the NHL.
Also, and this applies to all CFL broadcasters, why is no one televising the best game of the week - Toronto at B.C? Another rematch between two of the best teams in the league, and instead somebody chose to televise Calgary and Ottawa?
Doesn't make sense.

the bc toronto game was pretty good. a nailbiter, in fact. the lions offence isn't yet firing on all pistons, and dickenson MUST learn that it's okay to throw the ball away on occasion. i'm not suggesting he start throwing without looking (a la mcmanus) but c'mon, you can't sit in that pocket forever.
i felt bad for angus reid on the snap. he's normally spot on, so this was an uncharacteristic and costly error. still, as has been said in the paper, the lions can win games when they play sloppy football, so imagine what will happen when they get their act together! much improved special teams action as compared to last season, and not a shabby defence - eight sacks! welcome home, damon allen!
as for the roughriders game, i'll say this - i look forward to 27 august 2005, when we can really match up. hopefully dickenson will last that long, and hopefully printers will take a few snaps as well.
