Renegades

Memo to the CFL:

Shut down the Renegades franchise before handing it over to the Gliebermans.

Good god. Does no one remember them and the animosity they created 10 years ago? It almost seems like an April Fools joke.

One other thing. There seems to be some discontent among the owners regarding Commissioner Wright. If they sack him, it will set the league back a good 10 years. Between this and the Gliebermans, it's almost as if the CFL wants to forget its recent successes and go back in time to when things sucked.

The Corporation

I've been meaning to post this for several weeks now, but I'd like to suggest the documentary The Corporation to everyone. It really is an enlightening film and show the degree to which coporations have achieved ascendancy in our culture. Definitely worth viewing. Excellent interviews with people like Noam Chomsky, Noami Klein and Maude Barlow. As an added bonus, you get to see a rep (I forget his name) from the Fraser Institute hang himself with his own rope.
